PRODUCTION OF AGIDOLS MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION

The audit for corporate quality management system, conducted by Multilab (Brazil) for compliance with international product safety standards, was successfully completed at the Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant.

The Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant is the only producer of antioxidants under the Agidol brand in the country, which in addition to the oil refining industry, is widely used in feed, food, medical, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. This imposes special obligations to ensure product safety, regular confirmation of the production organization according to international quality standards, as well as some criteria considered mandatory by consumers. The latter is revealed during the so-called supplier audits, one of which was conducted by Multilab on September 13, 2019.

Multilab is a Brazilian company, which is part of the largest pharmaceutical group in Latin America - NC Group. It specializes in the research, development, production and distribution of various medicines, cosmetics, and therefore is forced to comply with the requirements of the National Agency for Health Monitoring in Brazil (ANVISA) and the "Rules for the production of medical products" (GMP standard); avoid risks associated with the acquisition of components whose production does not meet the requirements of world standards for quality and safety. Since one of the components of the company’s products is Agidol-1 crystalline, manufactured at SPP, the purpose of the visit of Multilab specialists to Sterlitamak was to familiarize themselves with the specifics of antioxidant production.

During the audit, Multilab"s Quality Assurance Coordinator, Mr. Thiago Ribeiro, and Senior Analyst Ms. Betty Sada visited the Department of International Certification, Shop H-13-14, the Warehouse Shop, and the Technical Control Department. The field of their interests was covered by the following issues: quality control of raw materials, technological processes and finished products; interactions between quality service and production; professional development of specialists; conducting internal audits; maintenance of fixed assets and equipment; availability of required documentation; logistics issues; claim work and more.

According to the results of the audit, Multilab experts concluded that the Agidol-1 crystalline production organized by SPP meets the requirements of international safety standards which means that mutual cooperation will continue.
