It is produced by phenol alkylation with polymerdistillator or trimeramypropylene .
It is a mixture of mono- and di-alkyl phenols.
It is a basic raw material for a variety of alkyl-phenol-amine antioxidants: Oktophor-N, VS-1, VS-30, AFA-1 etc., which are used in the production of synthetic rubbers.
