CAS Number 128-37-0 CHEMICAL NAMES: Butylhydroxytoluene (BHT); 4-methyl-2,6-di-tert-butyl-phenol; 2,6-di-tert-butyl-p-cresol TRADE NAMES: Ionol. Produced according to TU 2492-424-05742686-97 with amendment 1,2,3. It is a mixture of Agidol-1 and a filler (white soot). It is water-insoluble. It is soluble in oils, vegetable and animal fats, partly in alcohol. It is used as a stabilizer for various fodder, technical and food fats, oils, fish, bone and green meals to brake oxidation processes, to preserve carotene and vitamins. It is nontoxic and is allowed to be used as an antioxidant for fodders. There is a certificate of conformity issued by the Body for certification of veterinary preparations and fodder.
