PRODUCTS OF SNHZ MEETS THE STRINGEND WORLD STANDARDS

The management of production processes of Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant has been evaluated by potential consumers of synthetic rubbers.

Representatives of the Israeli branch of Alliance Tire Group (ATG) a world-famous manufacturer of special purpose tires and Konimpex a company specializing in trade, logistics and distribution of chemical and industrial raw materials conducted an audit of the copolymer rubber production site at Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant.

The guests evaluated the management of work processes in the field of quality control, logistics and production of rubbers SBR-1500, SBR-1502, SBR-1712 and SBR-1723 for compliance with international and own standards. They got acquainted with each unit of the process chain at the production of copolymer rubbers - from the receipt of raw materials to the shipment of finished products to consumers, as well as checked the work of the Central Plant Laboratory and quality management services.

“Our company is constantly working to improve production processes, strengthen the quality control of incoming and produced products”, commented Ms. Guzel Valeeva, Head of International Certification Department at Management Company TAU NefteKhim LLC. “Every year staff involvement in this work increases, the company implements the 5C system, applies statistical process control which allows to implement the principles of series of international standards. Therefore, the audit of potential consumers for us, on the one hand, serves as a certain indicator of the effectiveness of the activities carried out and in force, on the other, it helps to study global trends in consumer requirements and if this does not contradict the development policy of our company, adapt to them expanding our capabilities. For example, from communication with our colleagues, we learned that due to the growing public interest in environmental issues the European Union tightened the requirements for improving the environmental performance of enterprises, compliance with environmental legislation, accountability and employee involvement. The international standard ISO 14000 is becoming an integral part of the Environmental Management Scheme which although similar to ISO 9000 contains more stringent requirements for the environmental management system according to which the certification of production processes takes place. Therefore, in order to be able to trade freely with EU countries it makes sense to certify the system according to this standard”.

The system of standards of quality management adopted by auditor enterprises provides scoring system of suppliers. So, to approve a new supplier under the Alliance Tire Group’s valuation system it is necessary to gain from 86 to 100%. Joint-stock company “Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant” at the end of the audit gained 86% and received the rating of the supplier of the highest category A with the approval and the status allowed for further cooperation. The audit confirmed the compliance of the products of the copolymer production at JSC SNHZ with the most stringent international standards.
