Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant together with State Research and Development Institute of Civil Aviation conducted a set of works to determine the possibility of producing and using AVGAS 100LL aviation gasoline in civil aviation. The evaluation of the production technology of aviation gasoline at the petrochemical site and its quality control was carried out, a pilot batch of aviation fuel was investigated, a monitoring program “Application of AVGAS 100LL aviation gasoline produced by Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant JSC on civil aviation” was developed and the application of the said aviation gasoline was observed at airlines Light Air CJSC and HeliCenter LLC.

According to the results of fuel performance over 2,000 flight hours on R-44 helicopters and AN-2 airplanes, its full compliance with the requirements of GOST R 55493-2013 and industry regulatory and technical documentation has been established; no negative effect on the operation of aircraft engines was observed; there were no adverse comments on the quality of the aviation fuel.

Based on the positive results of observations on the use of AVGAS 100LL aviation gasoline produced by SNHZ, this fuel is recommended for use in civil aviation.
