Sintez-Kauchuk and Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant joint-stock companies are the largest companies in the Urals and Western Siberia in terms of product sales in 2017, according to the Analytical Center “Expert”.

The Rating 400 of the largest companies in the Urals and Western Siberia (Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Kurgan, Orenburg, Tyumen regions (including the Khanty-Mansiysk and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District), Perm Region, the Republics of Bashkortostan and Udmurtia) is compiled by the analytical center annually on the basis of the methodology used by the federal rating “Expert – 400”.

For a comparative analysis, the dynamics of product sales to the previous year, gross and net profits are also shown (when calculating the revenue of enterprises in 2017, the weighted average dollar exchange rate was 58.3529 ruble/dollar, in 2016 - 67.0349 ruble/dollar).

According to the “Expert-Ural-400” rating, Sintez-Kauchuk, JSC occupies 172nd position, and Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant, JSC – 208th position. Moreover, while the indicator for rubber manufacturers slightly declined compared to 2016, the growth rate for petrochemical manufacturers increased by 0.3%.

Data collection about companies was carried out in three stages. At the preparatory stage, a list of potential participants was compiled taking into account the ranking of past years and statistical reports for 2017. Then a survey of candidate companies was conducted: they have been requested key performance indicators for 2017 and 2016. At the third stage, the gaps in the collected information were completed by the data of corporate websites of the companies.
