SPP. SEARCH FOR OPTIMAL CONTROL OF THE PROCESS PROCEDUREWorkshop Zh-7-7a-7b of Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant is one of the oldest divisions of the company, designed to provide the cold to the members of the production process. It was put into operation, almost sixty years ago. Over the decades of work, its process layout has undergone several reconstructions, and the equipment fleet has been modernized. Today, the production shop workers are carrying out another renewal project, implementing several production tasks at once - improving the process of controlling liquid ammonia flows and improving the working conditions of personnel. To improve the economic efficiency of the enterprise, the departments are looking for ways to improve the process control system, including also replacing obsolete components with modern ones. For example, in order to improve the quality and speed of the system and reduce the costs of the main production, in production shop Zh-7-7a-7b, the control of liquid ammonia flows was upgraded by installing electric valves on the pipelines. The need for the project was due to the fact that the reactors into which the product was supplied did not have automatic shut-off valves, and when the compressors were stopped, the valves had to be closed and opened manually at four operating facilities. Modernization work was carried out on inactive equipment during the period of shutdown overhauls. In total, 43 electric valves were purchased and installed. Currently, as part of the enterprise’s investment program, electric valves are connected and control cabinet outputs are displayed in operating room, which will allow the valve to open and close directly from the operator’s work station and to control it by instruments, this is especially important in case of unforeseen situations where speed and clarity of response is of high value.
