An enterprise of the petrochemical group "TAU Neftekhim" became the winner of the regional stage of the “Exporter of the Year” All-Russian Award in the field of international cooperation and export.

For the successful development of Russian companies, especially not of resource-based sector of the economy, it is important for them to be represented not only in domestic but also in foreign markets. Therefore, in order to support and stimulate the export business, transfer best practices in international trade, the Exporter of the Year Award was established as part of the implementation of the national project International Cooperation and Export.

Large industrial enterprises, as well as representatives of small and medium-sized businesses, take part in the competition for this prestigious award. The determination of the winners takes place in two stages - the regional and the all-Russian. In September, in the Volga Federal District, the regional contest the Exporter of the Year was held. The winners in the field of industry, agriculture were named; in the field of services and high technologies the nominations “Breakthrough of the Year" (for small and medium enterprises) and "New Geography" (for large business) were awarded. The winner of the New Geography nomination was the Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant.

Telling reporters the success story of the enterprise, the General Director of the management company TAU NefteKhim, Mr. Marat Gaifullin noted that over the years of its existence (and this is more than half a century), JSC SPP has become the largest manufacturer of multidisciplinary and competitive products. Its assortment today includes over thirty items, including: styrene butadiene rubbers; phenolic antioxidants of Agidol trademark, high-octane fuel additives, hardeners for epoxy resins and aviation gasoline. The scope of application is also very broad - feed, food, medical, cosmetic, tire industry, aviation, etc. Annually, more than 18,000 tons of antioxidants are produced; about 50,000 tons of copolymer rubbers are produced. The geography of deliveries covers the whole world. SPP JSC is the only producer of antioxidants in Russia and the CIS countries, and its presence on the foreign market is 50-60%. The success of the company"s development lies in the use of unique technologies (for the most part, its own developments), the collective understanding of the role of foreign economic activities, the ability to see the export potential and find incentives for it to be realized, as well as the presence of healthy competition for leadership in the industry.

The award was presented on September 26 in Perm as part of the Second Interregional Export Forum - an expert and educational platform for export development, the main purpose of which is to create a unique acceleration environment for beginners and existing exporters. The winners of the regional stages will meet in the final of the All-Russian competition for the Exporter of the Year Award in November 2019 in Moscow at the Made in Russia Forum.
