SPP, JSC CONFIRMED COMPLIANCE WITH THE INTERNATIONAL FAMI-QS STANDARD FOR FEED PRODUCTS SAFETYSterlitamak Petrochemical Plant JSC has successfully completed another surveillance audit of the feed product safety system for compliance with the requirements of the international standard FAMI-QS in relation to the production of the antioxidant “Agidol feed grade.” Agidol feed grade is used as an antioxidant additive in various feeds, technical and edible fats, oils, fish, bone and grass meal to inhibit oxidation processes in them, preserve carotene and vitamins. The FAMI-QS standard requires feed safety to be ensured at all stages of the product life cycle - procurement, production, relevant infrastructure, storage, delivery to the consumer, etc., including by eliminating the risk of hazardous ingredients entering the food chain. Feed products safety is a high level of assurance that feed products will not cause harm during their preparation, storage, delivery or consumption in accordance with their intended use to either animals or humans as the end user of animal food. During the audit, the following processes were checked: production management, interaction with suppliers of products and services, as well as consumers; management of planning of repairs and technical maintenance of production facilities, operational planning, storage conditions for raw materials, consumables and finished products, and other requirements of the standard. “The audit confirmed that the products of Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant JSC, business processes, systems and services meet the requirements of the European standard FAMI-QS. The result was a conclusion on extending the certification period,” says Guzel Valeyeva, Head of the International Certification Department.
